I have been playing this and Starlight for months because I have an amateur interest in Lepidoptera, and this game teaches me about so many different species! I love both of these games for different reasons, but Flutter is the better of the two in terms of play if not for the maxed out butterfly effects alone! Being able to hurry a caterpillar or pupa is so awesome and helpful, and I wish they would allow these effects in Starlight as well. Thank you for this app because I’m loving it overall.I have a major complaint though, and a suggestion. I have now accidentally laid eggs and wasted precious Flutterbucks because there is no confirmation prompt on the Lay Egg button. I’ve lost a total of 70 FB doing this. When you are in-game tapping butterflies and flowers quickly, you can see how this can happen in a matter of seconds before there’s even time to register that I’ve tapped on a butterfly multiple times. There are at least 3 unnecessary prompts just to return a butterfly back into your forest (reversible action), but zero prompts to lay eggs (irreversible action) and spend your flutterbucks.My suggestion is to please add a confirmation prompt for the Lay Egg button, and to make it faster to move butterflies between storage and forest by removing the confirmation prompts (or at least a few of them).

I love the game itself. It just becomes a very obvious money grab from sometimes. The cost of expansions is high, the spirit and garden events will give you “gifts” sometimes that you have to work towards and the gifts don’t even relate to the event like an Aztec flower, a frog treat. It’s almost a slap in the face. One of the boxes is usually related to the event like fertilizer or a hurry round. That’s great. At least make the gift worth it. It’s so hard to complete the events that I’ve seen people say they lost joy for the game. Even some of the flowers abilities that you work so hard to reach are laughable. One I worked 4 days for was the ability to hurry a butterfly…. My most powerful butterfly produces 1,400 honeydew every 8 hours. What’s 1,400 honeydew when my expansions cost 90k+ and you worked 4 days for this flower, possibly even spending your flutterbucks on it. The rewards in the book for reaching goals are also horribly low. Use a butterfly to lay 25 eggs gives you 5 flutterbucks for reaching that goal. It takes HUNDREDS of flutterbucks to achieve that goal. And you give us 5 back? Not an incentive. Anyways…. I just find the reward system in this game very low. But it’s pretty and I like the butterflies so I stick it out, refusing to give flutter my actual money because the game is designed for you to fail so there’s no point giving them $1 if you’re not willing to give them $50. It’s not like the things you pay for with real money will make your in game experience that much better anyway.

This is actually one of the first games I have reviewed, since I normally don't review games but Flutter and Flutter: Starlight are my favorite games! First off, the games are GORGEOUS from music to graphics and the characters are just adorable! I've never been big on butterflies/moths - until now, and this game is based off real species. Recently i opened an account with flutter, only to find I could not connect it to facebook. I sent a message to support and they replied within a few hours! I learned from them that I had another account, which I had forgotten about but now recognized. When I logged into that, I had so much more progress there! I wasn't sure what to do so I sent support another message and the sweet lady helping me actually moved all my special event butterflies from my less progressed account to the other one!! This is amazing and I don't think any other support does things nice as that. One thing I would like to see implemented is a "send to missions" button since it can be frustrating to try to keep track of a butterfly you are moving through the forest towards missions. But really that's my only critique! Thanks for a great game, Runaway!

I have played Flutter off and on for the past few years and have yet to be disappointed. The ambience, the art style, the accuracy of the butterfly models, I love it all!A word to the wise though: connecting through Facebook is the only way to go apparently. I re-downloaded a few days ago and thought I would be safe with having my Apple ID and Game Center backing me up. Nope. I sank a hefty amount of money into this game for the current event and lost my account today. Icing on the cake, I was about to complete the Regal Hairstreak too. All of this is 100% my fault because I did not write down my in game Flutter ID despite it being the first thing the game asks of you. Major fumble on my end. I am 100% not complaining, simply a word of warning to take that ID thing seriously. Long story short: Connect with Facebook and write the dang ID down. After that, collect butterflies to your little lepidopterist heart’s content. This truly is a beautiful game, it practically raised me, so I have no problem starting from scratch. It’ll be like seeing an old friend :)
