Writing is not wordsmithing, and if writing were wordsmithing the fucking #AI would be the bestselling #authors of all time.

#AIWriting, except in the context of slop (get to this in a second), is just absolutely and objectively terrible.

I recently did some AI assisted writing and it wanted to put the phrase "a clear, unambiguous sign" fucking everywhere.

The worse part was, the more the phrase shows up, the more the AI is like "clearly I'm supposed to just keep writing that".

Structurally its stories are just completely vapid, it has no sense of timing. Like, yeah, there is absolutely no fear that anyone should have that AI can "churn out books" that anyone will be consuming at any kind of scale.
