#LEPONTIC, the (almost) forgotten, written language of the #Celts
Long before the #Roman #Empire and #Caesar's conquest of #Gaul, #Celtic tribes living on the southern edge of the Alps, through contact with the #Etruscans, adopted the #Alphabet and adapted it to their own language, giving rise to the ‘#Lugano’ alphabet – also known as the ‘Lepontic’ alphabet.

The oldest writing in Switzerland
