I tested this & *some* TVs *do* support Network Error Logging. Mostly Android-based models/sticks, vendors identified so far:
- Amazon
- Apple
- Google
- Lenovo
- Samsung
- Sony
So you can get alerts on DNS, TCP, TLS & HTTP errors for at least some media clients. Not 100% but there's def enough coverage to be useful, indeed NEL spotted a brief outage we had due to power issues at origin (in realtime).
We'll roll it out more widely as a next step in the PoC.

Has anyone ever tested Network Error Logging (NEL) for media delivery via CDNs on TVs (with a DashJS-based player)?We use NEL on web but not (yet) media and I think it'd have helped us pin down an issue with cert chains we recently had.
