Flock Safety is arming US police departments with drones that launch themselves, hit 60 mph, chase fleeing cars and read plates before a patrol car even rolls. Sounds slick until you hear this: In Roseville, Calif., police found 71% of Flock’s stolen-car alerts had a misread plate. Picture that mistake at 400 feet, locked onto a car, your kid’s car or a neighbour who did nothing wrong. I want a human near that launch button. Did the drone tail the right vehicle?

Proposal: organize anti-spy camera (flock, etc.) groups in your town to engage in open, nonviolent civil obedience by using an extension ladder to climb up and put bags over the cameras.
Doing this in broad daylight with a crowd carrying signs is the perfect type of civil disobedience that they can't ignore and that will gain tons of publicity. Prosecution will be difficult if you don't actually physically destroy the camera. Plan to take everything to trial and use the trial itself as another point of protest.
It would be easy to create a template for this type of action that anyone in any town could reproduce quite easily.
Find someone to do a nonviolent civil obedience training like the kind that were common throughout the '80s and '90s. We typically had one day trainings where people would learn de-escalation, jail support, press release writing, solidarity and other legal strategies and so on.
