Some call it „Oligarch Linux“ because it’s financed by a lot of tech bros from SV. But it’s also the first AI agent-coded distro in the field. And it’s growing fast. It’s created by Danish software engineer DAVID HEINEMEIER HANSSON, the creator of Ruby on Rails I am pretty sure that will be the future of open source. The best an AI coding agent can do is open source. Because it learned from it. Hansson says he is thankful that his handwritten code from the last decades has flown into it and can now be used by millions of people.
I think he is right if OSS should stay as a tool to emancipate and benefit humanity, which it should. Then there should be more projects like this. Dooming AI is like dooming the internet or or hate the steammachine. AI is here; it’s open source and ready to use. We should do it. We can take it into our hands.
