Fast unbemerkt von der Öffentlichkeit hat Donald #Trump Ende September eine nationale #Sicherheitsrichtlinie unterzeichnet, die weitreichende Folgen für die politische #Meinungsfreiheit haben könnte. Die National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (#NSPM7) genannte Direktive stuft »antichristliche« und »antiamerikanische« Ansichten als mögliche Hinweise auf radikale linke Gewalt ein.

Die Richtlinie weist die Joint Terrorism Task Force (#JTTF) des #FBI an, »Netzwerke, Einrichtungen und Organisationen, die politische Gewalt schüren«, zu untersuchen.

Als Warnsignale gelten dabei nicht konkrete Handlungen, sondern überwiegend weltanschauliche Haltungen: #Antiamerikanismus, #Antikapitalismus, #Antichristentum, Unterstützung für den Sturz der US-Regierung, Extremismus in bezug auf #Migration, #Rasse oder #Geschlecht sowie Feindseligkeit gegenüber Menschen mit traditionellen Ansichten zu #Familie, #Religion oder #Moral.
