Lazers Tied for First After 7-2 Win in Dallas

The Los Angeles Lazers defeated the Dallas Sidekicks, 7-2, Saturday night at Dallas, to move into a tie with the San Diego Sockers for first place in the Major Indoor Soccer League’s Western Division.
The Lazers and Sockers are both 14-5, the best record in the MISL.
This is the first time in the Lazers’ two-year history that the team has been in first place. With Saturday’s victory, the Lazers set a club record by winning five straight games.
Dallas took the early lead on a goal by Herve Guilliod 1:48 into the first quarter. The Lazers struck back with a goal by Willie Molano and another by Beto on a power play, and ended the first quarter ahead, 2-1.
The Sidekicks put the ball into their own net 11:16 into the second quarter (although Lazer forward Stuart Lee was given credit for the goal), and Greg Ion made it 4-1 with just 27 seconds left in the first half.
