California building starts rose 6.8% in November.

According to Bank of America’s monthly California Housing Starts report, building starts during the month totaled 190,700 units, including 92,100 single-family units and 98,600 multifamily dwellings. The report said the median price of a house dropped 1% to $110,402 from the month before and that the number of permits issued for future building jumped by 20% to 234,500. Despite the increase in starts and permits, home sales dropped 3% in November.
