Associated Press

American indoor record holder Carol Lewis of the United States and Olympic silver medalist Vali Ionescu of Romania will head the field for the women’s long jump in the Vitalis-U.S. Olympic Invitational track and field meet Feb. 9 at the Meadowlands Arena.

Lewis, brother of Carl Lewis, winner of four Olympic gold medals, set the American indoor mark of 22 feet, 2 inches last year. Ionescu’s best indoor jump is 22-8, third best in history.

Also in the field will be Jennifer Inniss, a native of Guyana now living in the United States. She won the 1982 NCAA outdoor title while at Cal State Los Angeles.
