Ihave followed with much interest the pros and cons of funding for additional police officers in Los Angeles, which I agree we need.
So far all I have heard is, “Make the property owner pay.”
I cannot understand why a simple increase of 1 or 2 cents in the city sales tax would not suffice.
This way all of the renters and visitors to our fair city would pay their fair share. I am sure our police are called to assist renters and visitors as well as property owners.
