One of the most appalling remarks so far in 1985 was made by the defense attorney after Kevin Earl Hindmarsh was convicted on his 17th birthday for beating and killing two 11-year-old girls.
“It’s not a very good birthday for Kevin,” said defense attorney Josh Fredricks.
If California law were more efficient, it would be Kevin’s last birthday.
