Contract negotiations for 258 of Carson’s employees are under way.
The city’s negotiating team has met in preliminary discussions during the last two weeks with each of its employee organizations--the Assn. of Management Employees, the Assn. of Supervisors and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Local 809.
Officials say they hope to reach an agreement by June 30, when the employees’ current two-year contracts expire.
