July Start Expected for Lake Hyatt

Construction is expected to begin in July on the 600-room Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City as part of the $615-million Triad Center. Robert B. Mathews, director of the Los Angeles office of WZMH Group, will serve as project director.

Planned as a convention hotel, the new Hyatt Regency will be designed by WZMH principal-in charge Paul Barnard to include 20,000 square feet of exhibit space, a grand ballroom that will accommodate 2,000 people, a three-story atrium in the lobby, rooftop gardens and terraces and an outdoor running track. Completion is scheduled in August, 1989.
