Pacific Lighting settled part of a suit.

The antitrust suit was filed last November by Union Oil and Texaco after Pacific stopped taking deliveries of natural gas from a field off the coast of Ventura County. Under an agreement with Union that is subject to approval by the state Public Utilities Commission, a Pacific Lighting subsidiary, Pacific Interstate Offshore, will continue to buy gas from the Pitas Point field. Pacific said it is continuing discussions with Texaco and hopes to reach a similar settlement.
