Computervision said it laid off 950 workers.

The computer company, based in Bedford, Mass., also said that its top 50 executives will take a “significant cut” in total compensation this year. The company said the layoffs were across the board, affecting hourly workers as well as managers. The cuts will not change the company’s plan to spend 11% of its revenue on research and development this year. Earlier this month, Computervision said it expected an operating loss of as much as $15.7 million for the first quarter of 1985.
