The father of the 6-week-old Santee girl who died Saturday night at Grossmont Hospital of head injuries was arrested late Monday night and booked into County Jail on suspicion of murder. Steven Tolbert, 27, was arrested at the Santee sheriff’s substation while being questioned about the death of Vanessa Tolbert, whom he and his wife brought unconscious into the station Saturday night. The baby was rushed to Grossmont Hospital, where she died a short time later.
