W. Germany Offers ‘Star Wars’ Support

BONN — Chancellor Helmut Kohl today declared his full support for President Reagan’s “Star Wars” defense program and said West Germany will begin discussions on joining the project.
But in a declaration to Parliament, Kohl said Bonn will not allow Washington to put it under pressure to reach a quick decision and will stress that it wants a fair exchange of research findings, not a “technological one-way street.”
