Guard to Fight Fla. Fires

MADISON, Fla. — Gov. Bob Graham today ordered the National Guard to join the fight against two fires raging out of control through more than 3,000 acres of northern Florida. The Department of Community Affairs also recommended that a 55-mile stretch of Interstate 10 between the Aucilla and Suwannee rivers be closed because of heavy smoke.
