PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has opened a day center at 3756 Overland Ave., under the direction of Margaret Hills.

PATH’s purpose is the rehabilitation of homeless people, providing them with a mailing address, which is necessary on job applications, food, clothing, legal assistance, psychological and job counseling, medical care and shelter referrals.

The day center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The telephone number is 558-4295. An office at Westwood Methodist Church, 10497 Wilshire Blvd., will remain open.
