Five Teen Boaters Found Safe

An air-sea search for a group of young, inexperienced boaters in San Pedro Channel ended early this morning when they were found, safely asleep, aboard their 24-foot cabin cruiser anchored at Santa Catalina Island’s Isthmus Cove.
Sean Casey, 18, his sister, Shannon, 15, and three others were reported missing after they left Newport Beach on Wednesday and failed to arrive at their intended destination, Cherry Cove, Coast Guard Lt. John Ochs said.
