Mrs. Franklin Murphy and State Sen. Art Torres (D-South Pasadena) will be honored by Friends of UCLA Child Care Services at a reception at a private home in Beverly Hills on Sept. 22.
“Now We Are Six” is the theme of the group’s sixth annual party. Anna Bing Arnold, general chairwoman, will announce the naming of an endowed chair in child studies in honor of Michael and Lerena Kreiss.
