Delightful Hotel

Anent Jerry Hulse’s “A Bum Trip” article July 21 re hotels demanding extra-charge payments in the middle of the night: I have experienced the same, but I have also had the pleasant experience of the opposite. Recently on a trip to the States I was booked into the Vista International Hotel in Washington, D.C., a delightful hotel. I don’t carry any credit cards, so assumed I would have to pay for my room in advance. But no, I was told with a smile, I could settle up when I checked out. Made me feel great, and I’m determined to stay at that Vista again.
