Columbia Pictures, Burbank, announced that Fred Bernstein has been promoted to executive vice president-worldwide production, with responsibility for the acquisition of independently financed features to be released by Columbia.
Bernstein, an attorney formerly with the Los Angeles law firm of Mannatt, Phelps, Rothenberg & Tunney, joined the company in 1983 as senior vice president-business affairs.
