Last Week: Fowble accounted for 25 points in Granada Hills’ 37-13 win over Chatsworth. An All-City performer last season, he had touchdown catches of 45, 33 and 60 yards from quarterback Brent Spurlin. Fowble also kicked a 39-yard field goal and added four extra-point kicks. He finished with five receptions for 196 yards.

Season: After two weeks, Fowble leads all City receivers in the Valley with eight catches for 256 yards. He is averaging 32 yards a catch, with three going for touchdowns. Fowble also has two field goals and six extra points, accounting for 30 points.

Coach’s Comment: “He’s a quality athlete,” Coach Darryl Stroh said. “He has everything you’d want in a receiver: great hands, concentration, real good speed and the ability to find the open spots. He has got to be one of the top receivers in the City.”
