A tractor-trailer truck hauling canned tuna overturned Monday afternoon on the ramp from La Jolla Village Drive heading to southbound Interstate 805, snarling traffic for more than four hours, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The accident occured about 4:30 p.m. Vehicles heading toward the ramp, near University Towne Centre, were diverted to Interstates 5 and 15.
Paramedics took an unidentified passenger in the truck to Scripps Memorial Hospital-La Jolla, where he was was treated for minor injuries and released.
A CHP dispatcher said it was not known Monday what caused the accident.
