A proposal has been made to reinstitute the bracero program to provide our farmers with seasonal labor. Rather than potentially flooding this country with more illegal aliens, wouldn’t it be better to reinstitute the old Southern concept of chain gangs? Certainly we have enough prison inmates draining our public purse. These prisoners could, instead, bring money into the state Department of Corrections.
