Richmond Enjoys Boom in Hotels

In the two years that began in September, 1984, and will end in late 1986, 17 new major hotels will have opened in Richmond, Va.
That will add 2,941 rooms and suites--a 60% increase--in a continuing commercial building boom.
At least five more major hotels and conference centers are also projected to open in the months that follow New Year’s Day, 1987. That will add more than 950 new rooms and suites.
