Thousand Oaks Youth Admits Molestations

A Thousand Oaks teen-ager pleaded guilty Monday to six counts of felony child molestation after a Ventura County Superior Court judge ruled that he would not be tried as an adult.

The 16-year-old, whose name was not released because of his age, will be sentenced in two weeks, Deputy Dist. Atty. Lynne Alfasso said. The boy is being held at Ventura County Juvenile Hall.

According to Alfasso, the teen-ager molested two 8-year-old Thousand Oaks boys over 10 months.

The youth had been charged with 12 counts of felony child molestation, four counts of misdemeanor child molestation, two counts of battery and one count of sodomy.

Judge Robert Shaw ruled Monday that the youth should be tried as a juvenile, and the teen-ager then entered the guilty plea to the reduced number of charges.
