Weicker Jr. (R-Conn.) announced that he will not run for governor, citing family obligations and his responsibilities in the Senate as the reasons for his decision. “The reasons are with me here, and are on the Senate floor in Washington,” Weicker said from his home in Greenwich, Conn.
