Man Killed in Car Wreck: A 21-year-old Orange man was killed early Saturday when the Volkswagen he was driving rolled and crashed into a palm tree, Newport Beach police said. Allen Abrams was northbound on Superior Avenue at Coast Highway when he lost control of the car, which went onto the center divider and hit the tree, Detective Mark Fisher said. Abrams was alone and was driving a friend’s car.
