Sam Bowie, Portland Trail Blazer center, who missed two seasons in college play after breaking his left leg, will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a defect in his shin.
Dr. Robert Cook, the team physician, will perform the bone-graft surgery on the 7-foot-1 Bowie, who will miss the rest of the season.
