Lawndale : No Vote Change in Recount

A recount in the mayoral election requested by runner-up Jim Ramsey failed to alter the vote count, said City Clerk Marsha Schutte. Ramsey, who resigned his council seat to oppose incumbent Sarann Kruse, lost 759 to 885. Write-in candidate Edward Roberts took 91 votes. Ramsey paid the $160 recount fee.
