Asher B. Edelman increased his offer for Fruehauf.

In a disclosure statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York investor reported that he had increased his offer for Fruehauf stock to $42 per share. Edelman told directors that he would pay $1 a share more than his previous offer for Fruehauf common stock in an attempt to win control of the company. The filing said Edelman has received assurances that he can raise $935 million to finance his bid for control of Fruehauf.
