Electronic Data Systems, Dallas, which was acquired by General Motors in 1984, announced that Lester M. Alberthal Jr., senior vice president in charge of EDS’ North American business operations, will become president, succeeding Morton H. Meyerson, who was named to the new position of vice chairman.
