Canada, S. Korea Agree to Expansion of Trade

Visiting Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and South Korean President Chun Doo Hwan have agreed to expand trade between their two nations, currently at $2.3 billion a year, a presidential spokesman said Tuesday.

Canada is seeking to correct a $600-million trade imbalance with South Korea by selling more coking coal, wheat, communications equipment, potash and sulfur.
