Services for John Bubbles Set

A funeral service will be held Saturday for John Bubbles, the original Sportin’ Life in “Porgy and Bess” and an internationally recognized tap dancer. The service for Bubbles, whose real name was John W. Sublett and who died Sunday at age 84, will be held at Angelus Funeral Home, 3875 Crenshaw Blvd. at 3:30 p.m. with burial to follow at Westwood Village Cemetery.
