Covington Slates Saturday Drawing at NorthPoint

Prompted by a waiting list of more than 300 prospective buyers for the 31 single-family houses in the third phase of NorthPoint, Covington Homes/Orange County has scheduled an 8 a.m. lottery drawing Saturday.
A spokeswoman for the firm said that families camped out in rainy weather for up to a week for the units in the second phase of the Placentia project. Surrounded by Alta Vista Golf Course, third-phase houses will be priced from $143,990 to $188,990.
The three- and four-bedroom houses have 1,279 to 1,811 square feet in four one- and two-story floor plans. NorthPoint is a joint venture of Covington Homes/Orange County and Weyerhaeuser Venture Co.
