GOP Picks New Candidate

AURORA, Ill. — State Rep. Dennis Hastert was chosen by Republican precinct committeemen Sunday to replace the ailing U.S. Rep. John E. Grotberg as the GOP congressional candidate in the 14th District. Hastert will face Kane County Coroner Mary Lou Kearns, the Democratic nominee, in the November election.
