Anaheim : Girl, 15, Dies After Running Into Side of Car

A 15-year-old Anaheim girl, who ran into the side of a car while dashing across a street, died of head and internal injuries, police said Friday.
Danielle C. McConnell was attempting to cross La Palma Avenue against a red light at State College Boulevard when the accident occurred at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, according to officers.
The girl was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange in critical condition and died seven hours later.
Police did not cite the driver of the car.
