Milton McCrory of Detroit, former World Boxing Council welterweight champion, established himself as a middleweight contender by scoring a unanimous decision over world-ranked Doug DeWitt of Yonkers, N.Y., in a 10-rounder at Las Vegas.
McCrory, the WBC’s No. 6-rated super-welterweight, used his reach and speed in the bout to pummel the face of DeWitt, the WBA’s No. 5-ranked middleweight.
