Free Guide to Plymouth Attractions : Guide to the Plymouth Area

PEMBROKE, Mass. — A free pocket-size brochure lists attractions and activities in Plymouth County.

The 64-page guide includes historical facts and gives information about campgrounds, beaches, motels and special events. A “Dining Out” section lists more than three dozen restaurants.

Plymouth, “America’s Hometown,” has more than a dozen visitor attractions including Plymouth Rock, a full-scale replica of the Mayflower, a re-creation of the Pilgrims’ 1627 settlement, the nation’s oldest public museum, a reconstructed 1636 grist mill, a wax museum, six historic houses, two wineries, even a cranberry museum.

Cruises for whale watching depart Plymouth during spring, summer and fall. In season daily excursion cruises from Plymouth to Provincetown are scheduled. Other attractions include Edaville Railroad, the A&D; Toy Train Village Museum, and art facilities in Duxbury and Brockton.
