Clean Little Hotel

Jerry Hulse was right (Small Hotels of Paris, Nov. 3, 1985). The Hotel du Pas-de-Calais in Paris is a good small hotel. Very clean, friendly desk people, sweet maids.
But do warn your readers, they do not accept credit cards.
I asked a week in advance for “a pretty room for a single woman with a nice bath” and got room 29. This isn’t a “pretty” hotel, but I got the best they could offer and for $49 a night have been quite happy.
