To Give 100% Isn’t Good Enough Any More

When I went to school, I was taught that 100% was the ultimate effort that you could expect to give to your sport or other endeavor. Now, all I hear is 110% from coaches, sportswriters, announcers, etc.

I’ve now just heard 111% mentioned. When will it all end? Could it possibly go to 1,000,000%? Isn’t it really impossible to go beyond 100%, or am I missing something?
