People should definitely take note of a potential message that Madonna is, somewhat unknowingly, putting into her songs (“Everyone Has a Sermon on ‘Papa Don’t Preach,’ ” Pop Eye, by Patrick Goldstein, Aug. 31).

It seems that not so long ago she was “like a virgin” being “touched for the very first time.” Now she’s worried about keeping her baby.

Well, Madonna, you know how it goes--these things happen when somewhere in there you forget about contraception.
