The NCAA put Tennessee on one-year probation for rules violations by boosters and the failure of football Coach Johnny Majors’ to report the infractions to college officials. However, the probation does not involve the loss of scholarships or television revenues and does not prohibit the Volunteers from participating in postseason play.
