The company’s Seattle-based marine subsidiary said took the action after an association of unions failed to vote on a 25% reduction in wages and benefits that the company had sought. The Lockheed shipbuilding workers are members of several unions but are represented by the Pacific Coast Metal Trades District Council, whose officials could not be reached for comment.
