Remains believed to be those of three U.S. servicemen missing in action since the Vietnam War arrived in Honolulu from Hanoi for positive identification at the Army’s Central Identification Laboratory. Tentative identification was made through documents found with the remains, and the families were notified, an American official said. The Vietnamese have returned the remains of 161 people to the United States since 1974. Of those, 135 were identified as U.S. servicemen.
