Ohio Transit Union Goes Back to Work After Strike

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Regular bus service resumed Friday for the first time since 630 drivers and mechanics were ordered to end a three-day strike, but the union said it may walk out again next month, a Central Ohio Transit Authority spokeswoman said.
The strike, affecting about 90,000 people, began Monday after members of Transport Workers Local 208 voted to reject the transit authority’s contract offer of a 5.4% wage increase over 2 1/2 years. The union is seeking a 15% increase over three years.
