52-THROW-UP

I have just returned from the movies where I was watching “52 Pick-Up” until the violence became so sickening that I had to leave.
Before I chose to see that film, I read about it in the Calendar (as I usually do). The brief summation of the film in Calendar’s Movie listings said that it was a “dull, plodding thriller.”
I am writing to you because you forgot to mention that, in this “dull, plodding” film, a beautiful young woman is handcuffed to a chair and tortured until she is eventually murdered.
There is something deeply depressing about sitting in your neighborhood theater and watching what is, in essence, a glossy little snuff film where nobody really dies.
Nobody else left the movie, so I guess most people are getting used to this sort of thing. I’m not. Please give me a clue next time.
